We believe in helping people to make informed choices about healthy eating and nutrition. We also support ongoing work to improve the nutrition in the critical areas of development - during pregnancy, at birth and in early childhood.
Educating our nation from an early age to encourage better choices with food, thus enabling our citizen to make healthier choices, should form a significant part of early years development.
Offering innovative ways to reduce the costs of healthy eating, through providing support to those in need of benefits, and introducing levies against the unhealthiest food would help to encourage healthy choices. Any monies raised through levies should be used to subsidise healthy options.
We support the continued drive to encourage breastfeeding in those who are willing and able to do so, and the work done in reducing public stigma of this.
